Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), a prestigious academic institution under the auspices of Tsinghua University, is renowned for its cutting-edge research, innovative curriculum, and global outreach. We strive to foster a diverse and inclusive academic environment that nurtures leaders in various fields. Tsinghua SIGS currently has more than 5500 graduate students and 230 full-time faculty members. We are expecting a major expansion in the fields of Materials Science, Data Science & Information Technology, Biopharmaceutical & Health Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Future Human Habitats, Environment and Ecology, Innovation Management.
Job Description:
We are seeking outstanding academic leaders to serve as the Deans of the following institutes of Tsinghua SIGS:
1. Institute of Materials Research
2. Institute of Biopharmaceutical and Health Engineering
3. Institute for Ocean Engineering
4. Institute of Environment and Ecology
5. Institute of Innovation Management
Their responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing the strategic planning, management, and operations of the Institute.
2. Developing and implement policies that enhance the academic and research excellence of the institute.
3. Fostering partnerships and collaborations with industry, government, and other academic institutions.
4. Building and maintaining a strong faculty team, encouraging research and scholarly activities.
5. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to students, promoting their professional and personal development.
(三) 任职要求
Requirements:
1. PhD in a relevant field from a top-tier university.
2. Extensive experience in higher education administration, preferably at the dean or senior management level.
3. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with a focus on enhancing academic and research excellence.
4. Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor faculty and staff.
5. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the candidate to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
6. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for international collaborations and communication.
